The sand runner is a sail powered car used in the sandy desert dunes. It uses a wing sail to generate it's momentum and uses it's resultant force to generate lift and prevent the craft from flipping over. It also makes use of an inverse airfoil wing to generate downforce which aids in its stability. At the front is two wheels with a custom designed di-axial pushrod suspension for lateral and vertical shock absorption. The rear wheel, along with the articulating wing sail, are used to steer. It is designed to be piloted by a single occupant but can hold up to ten on its top deck.
