Project Info

The sand runner is a sail powered car used in the sandy desert dunes. It uses a wing sail to generate it's momentum and uses it's sesultant force to generate lift and prent the craft from flipping over. It also makes use of a wing to generate downforce wich aids in its stability. At the front is two wheels with a custom designed di-axial pushrod suspension for lateral and vertical shock absorption. The rear wheel, along with the articulating wing sail, are used to steer. It is designed to be piloted by a single occupant but can hold up to ten on its top deck.
